MAKING MONEY

On Animal Crossing there are loads of different ways to make Bells (cash), but it can take time to learn them all. Here is some info to help you get it right!

FRUIT
One of the easiest ways to make money is by walking around your town and shaking the trees (press A or tap tree) to pick fruit. Selling this to Tom Nook will give you 100 Bells per piece of fruit, but by going to a friend's town, you might find a foreign fruit which will sell for 500 Bells. If you do, plant it and get a whole tree full! (If you want to go to a friend's town, read your instruction booklet for the info).
Foreign fruit can also be washed up on he town's beach (coconuts) or sent in the mail by Mom.

SHAKING TREES

By shaking random fruitless trees around town, a bag of 100 Bells might pop out, or if you're lucky some furniture! Careful though, bees can chase you if you shake a tree with a beehive. Unfortunately you don't know which are 'bee trees', so you'll have to beware! (If you do get stung, buy Tom Nook's medicine).

RUNNING ERRANDS

When you begin the game, Tom Nook will employ you, but this won't last forever. If you chat to townsfolk, they might ask you to deliver a letter or present to their neighbors. They could give you a good reward, but they don't ask often - and careful to hurry within the time limit they set you!

SCROUNGING

By searching town, you could find furniture in the Recycle Bin in the Town Hall. You can take whatever you like, and sell it if you don't need it. Chat to Booker to look in the Lost and Found at the town gate. There aren't always items in these places, but it's worth looking.

GIFTS

If you send a letter to someone in town, with a gift, they always send something back. This means you can get presents just by sending people unwanted things or even just fruit and shells.
Not only that, but if you're in luck, you might run into a neighbor who has a spare piece of furniture to give away!

MONEY ROCK

Not many people know about this. Don't worry, it's not a cheat! Go to Tom Nook's and buy a shovel, and go around town hitting the grey rocks (with your shovel) scattered on the ground. If a bag of Bells pops out, keep hitting the rock and more will appear!

SPECIAL VISITORS...

Every now and then, a visitor will come into your town. They might sell you something, or give you jobs to do, so surely it would be good to know about it. If you can't find a visitor, ask Booker if anyone came through the gate...

LYLE

He'll come every Saturday morning unless there's a town event. This insurance guy will hang outside your house and run up to you. If you talk to him, he will ask you to fill out a survey. If you say yes, he will ask you what day you want Crazy Redd to visit (see that other paragraph) and ask you things like 'Do you have a plan for the awful future?'. No matter what you say, he will force you to pay 3,000 Bells (unless you don't have it) for insurance. This means he will send you 100 Bells every time you get stung by a bee or trip over. He seems dodgy, but it's quite funny answering his questions. He will also take any fake paintings you buy from Redd...(pretty suspicious!)

CRAZY REDD

He will come once a week (weekdays) and his tent will be in the Town Square. The first time, you gotta wander around talking to your townsfolk until one of them whispers the password. When you get in, Crazy Redd will have some rare expensive furniture and a painting which can be donated to the Museum. Careful, though, the painting could be a counterfeit (fake) and your money will be wasted!
However Crazy Redd will not let you buy anything unless you pay 3,000 Bells (sound familiar?) to become a member!
We reckon Redd and Lyle are plotting somethin'...

JOAN

Joan the turnip seller will visit your town every Sunday morning. She could be anywhere in town. The prices for her white turnips vary every week. With them you could make a profit by selling them to Tom Nook if he offers a better price than what you bought them for. He doesn't buy them Sundays though.
Red turnips are always 1,000 bells each. By planting your seed, watering it everyday for a week, then digging it up when it's juicy and fat, you can sell it for loads of bells to Tom Nook.

You can eat any of Joan's turnips by the way! Mmm!

K.K. SLIDER
K.K. Slider will visit the Roost (the cafe at the museum) on Saturday evenings. If you ask him, he'll play you a song and give you a CD to put on the Tape Deck (or another music device) at your house. He'll only give you one each week. If you request something, you need to know the exact name of his song. Here are 5 good ones for you to try:

K.K. Lullaby

K.K. Parade

Steep Hill

Forest Life

K.K. Love Song

Enjoy the music, then! (That's not a song, it's our comment!)

There are infact many other visitors that could visit at any time or never come at all! But we think you should find that out for yourselves...

FACES...

When you begin Animal Crossing, you are in a taxi with Kapp'n. You will be asked questions, and your answers will decide on what your character looks like. Here are the ways to get certain faces...
